We share trails, hikes, and backpacking trips on the interwebs for the fun of it on a volunteer basis and believe that public trail information should be available to everyone. The site has no investors and is owned and operated by one person, Dave Miller / MyHikes is an indie web platform aimed to make exploring public trails easier for everyone. Pets: Dogs are allowed if leashed and their waste must be carried out with the hiker. Along the path down to the canyon, it is much more altered, devoid of its original plant and tree life, although it has been planted with various native and ornamental plants and tree saplings. The understory is lush with native salal, snowberry, and various native ferns. The both Hidden Falls and the Deep Creek canyon are located in a lush rainforest environment, filled with Douglas fir, Western Hemlock, Bigleaf Maples, and Western Red Cedar trees. The east side viewpoint provides views from the top of the falls, and the west side viewpoint provides better head-on views of the face of the falls. There are also designated viewpoints on either side of the creek. This hatchery was built by the State of Alaska in 1978-79 and operated. There is a suspension bridge across the creek that provides views of not only the falls, but also the dark fern lined basalt canyon of Deep Creek. Hidden Falls Hatchery is located in Kasnyku Bay on Baranof Island on Chatham Strait. The waterflow is more significant in winter, but stays flowing all summer long. HIDDEN FALLS SERIES
The path is paved and wide, as it makes its way down in a series of wide switchbacks. Hidden Falls is a serene family-friendly swimming hole in Pisgah National Forest just down river from the towering Rainbow Falls. This trail is a short, easy hike down to a scenic waterfall in the Portland metropolitan area. 5-mile hike to Inspiration Point for a magnification view of the Jenny Lake, Jackson Hole, the Gros Ventre and Wind River Mountains.Hidden Falls in Clackamas, Oregon is an easy 0.8-mile out-and-back hike into Deep Creek canyon and features a waterfall. While at Hidden Falls, it is well worth an extra. Hidden Falls is not really a falls, but a 200-foot cascade. Hiking, sightseeing and wildlife viewing are the chief activities associated with Hidden Falls. No matter how you approach Hidden Falls, it is going to involve some hiking. Hidden Falls is only accessible during the summer season. The second route to get to Hidden Falls is by hiking around the south end of Jenny Lake to the trail to Cascade Canyon (this adds four miles roundtrip to the hike). One is by a shuttle boat from the Jenny Lake east shore boat dock at the southeast end of the lake. There are actually two ways to get to the Falls. Hidden Falls can be found just west of Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park. Easily accessible by Jenny Lake Trail or a hop over on a boat shuttle, it is one of the most popular park attractions in the summer.
